Senior Transfer Pricing Analyst

Description:

  • Review calculations of management fees, interunit markup, and intercompany royalty charges, as well as related invoices and journal entries as necessary.
  • Review economic analyses of material intercompany transactions and propose transfer pricing adjustments, as applicable, in accordance with the arm's length principle.
  • Facilitate the data gathering process and ensure that the information obtained from operations is summarized accurately and is consistent pursuant to the OECD BEPS Actions (e.g., Master File, Local Files, and CbC Report).
  • Prepare the company's CbC Report internally as well as assist local controllers/tax managers in the preparation of the local CbC Notifications.
  • Review and/or draft intercompany agreements and internal memos.
  • Review internally prepared transfer pricing documentation reports; assist outside advisors in the preparation and review of TP reports in accordance with US and foreign requirements.
  • Conduct functional interviews and cost center interviews to gather necessary financial and descriptive information for management fee calculations, transfer pricing analyses, and/or documentation purposes; prepare and/or review functional analyses based on the information gathered.
  • Construct functional questionnaires and data requests with limited guidance and the ability to explain the rationale for collecting specific data.
  • Apply complex transfer pricing concepts and economic/financial knowledge in developing, executing, maintaining, reviewing, and adjusting the company's intercompany transfer pricing policies.
  • Prepare/review responses to Information Document Request (IDRs) issued by the IRS or local tax exam team(s) on transfer pricing audits as necessary.
  • Assist in the review of the transfer pricing implications of new or proposed regulations.
  • Participate actively in training and developmental opportunities, both as an attendee and as a facilitator.
  • Assist in supervision of internal Transfer Pricing staff and third-party service provider loan staff, if applicable.
  • Communicate professionally with worldwide operational personnel and outside consultants.
  • Maintain regular communication with the Manager on project status to ensure deadlines are met and objectives achieved.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Economics, Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Master's in Business Administration, Economics, Taxation or other relevant advanced degree preferred.
  • 2+ years of working experience in a transfer pricing role; public accounting experience preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office. Must be able to perform quantitative analysis using complex Excel models.
  • Experience with Corptax or similar tax software is a plus.
  • Demonstrates excellent written and verbal communication, as well as analytical and problem-solving skills. Working knowledge of business and tax research.
  • Ability to manage workstreams in an effective, independent, and efficient manner.
