Receiving Associate Job Description:

PrideStaff is recruiting for a Receiving Associate who has previous experience with an Industrial setting. The ideal Receiving Associate is highly organized, a self starter and always willing to go above and beyond for the team. The Receiving Associate is a full time, temp to hire position in Houston, TX.

Job Description:

RECEIVING ASSOCIATE QUALIFICATIONS:

• ERP System experience preferred (but not required)
• PVF industry experience preferred
• 1+ years' experience in shipping and receiving
• Excellent organizational and time management skills
• Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment with frequently changing dynamics
• Capable of working a consistent schedule starting at 7AM

• Ability to pass a background check and drug screen
• Reliable transportation
• Committed to working safely and following policies and procedures of the operation
• Positive attitude; good team player

• Receives and unloads freight both manually or with equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks
• Checks for damaged goods
• Delivers and retrieves product from storage areas
• Tags and issues product
• Stocks shelves and rotates inventory
• Assembles pallets or selects preassembled containers, inserts items into containers, using spacers, fillers, and protective padding
• May operate forklift, reach truck or stand up order picker to move, transport, or hoist material
• Observe all safety precautions and wear appropriate PPE at all times
• Cross-train on alternate assignments and perform duties in other work areas as needed
• Maintain Housekeeping in assigned work area

• Any other duties as requested by respective supervisor and/or manager

• High School Diploma or Equivalent Required
  
• 1+ Years of Experience in Shipping & Receiving Required
  
• Solid Work Ethic, & Self Motivated Required
  
• Excellent Time Management & Organization Skills
  
• Prior Forklift Reach & Order Picker Experience Required
  
• Follow All Safety Rules Required

• Must be Willing to Submit to a Pre-Employment Background Check
  
• Must be Willing to Submit to a Drug Screen
  
• Must be Able to Provide Proof of Eligibility to Work in The U.S.
