Job Summary

Role Specifics: Personal Systems is the leader in PC Sales across the globe. To help drive continued success we are looking to hire a new team member for the Long-Term Forecasting Team (LTF) within the Category Operations group. Primary focus area will be to enable/drive data collection/reporting for the team. You will work closely with our existing reporting leads to make sure reports/analysis/tools are updated in a timely fashion. This includes managing the data inputs into our LTF models, Power BI reporting tools, and any other ad hoc analytics that have been developed. The position is key to helping the team continue our drive to mature not only our planning process but also our analytics/tools.

In addition, the candidate will partner with an existing planner to learn the planning process. You will gain insight into the monthly planning process employing various analytical modeling (Market Sizing, Historical Trends, Business/Financial goals, Statistical Forecasting, Bass Diffusion modeling, etc) with the output of the model being alignment across key PS stakeholders (Business Management, CO Marketing, GBU Marketing/Strategy, Supply Chain, CO Ops Planning team, etc), reflecting strategic targets/initiatives.

Responsibilities:

  • Collects complex data/business analyses to help drive the develop business plans.
  • Constructs analytical models with minimal direction to forecast business performance.
  • Defines the metrics required to measure business performance and compares actual data to forecasted values.
  • Works with cross-functional teams to facilitate the data collection and performance measurement process and escalates issues as necessary.
  • Makes contributions to research and analyses on priority projects within established guidelines.


Education and Experience Required:
Typically 1 to 4 years experience in data analytics, strategy, planning, operations, finance, or related functional area. First level university degree.

Knowledge and Skills:
  • Demonstrated knowledge of research methodology and the ability to manage data requests.
  • Strong analytical thinking, technical analysis, and data manipulation skills.
  • Ability to learn and draw on new analytical techniques.
  • Strong knowledge of Excel, Power BI, SQL, statistical analysis, and financial modeling.
  • Demonstrated business acumen and technical knowledge within area of responsibility.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Developing project management skills.

The base pay range for this role is $65,450 to $98,800 annually with additional opportunities for pay in the form of bonus and/or equity (applies to US candidates only). Pay varies by work location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
