Job Description

A leading environmental science and engineering consulting company is seeking a Senior Environmental Engineer to lead complex environmental projects and support compliance initiatives. The ideal candidate is a licensed, detail-oriented professional with strong technical, leadership, and communication skills. Working collaboratively, the successful candidate will support project delivery by leading design and compliance efforts, mentoring junior staff, and ensuring quality outcomes while meeting regulatory requirements, maintaining client relationships, and contributing to team success.

Location: Houston, TX
Type of Position: Direct Hire

Responsibilities:
  • Lead and manage environmental projects primarily for heavy industry in the oil and gas, solid waste, and chemical sectors.
  • Develop processes and infrastructure relating to wastewater treatment, hazardous or solid waste disposal, air emission sources, pollution control, environmental compliance, environmental permitting, and environmental remediation.

Requirements:
  • Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Environmental Engineering
  • Professional Licensure
  • Wastewater, stormwater, air quality – O&G, Chemical, Pulp/Paper
  • Minimum of 5 to 10 years of experience
  • Project management experience for small and medium size projects
  • Self-motivated with high attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently and provide guidance and leadership to junior team project members
  • Excellent time management and scheduling skills
  • Strong technical skills including proficiency in technical writing and design software (i.e. AutoCAD, Civil 3D, HEC-RAS, HEC HMS)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proven track record of upholding workplace safety standards
  • Willingness and ability to interact with regulatory agencies, stakeholders, and clients
  • Ability and willingness to travel
