STQ Partners are currently working with a growing Power Generation & Power Solutions business with history in turbines, mobile energy & power operations.

‍Due to growth, they are now seeking to appoint a Technical Project Manager to join the business in North America.

‍The Technical Project Manager role focuses on both the operational and financial management of engineering. You will assist in the design, fabrication and testing of turbine & other power products such as reciprocating engine packages and battery energy storage systems.

The ideal candidate will have experience in fabrication and operations of gas turbines, gas turbine packages and ancillary equipment. Whilst also having a unique mix of technical expertise, project management, and strategic leadership.

Responsibilities:

• Project manage the engineering and manufacturing of new equipment and upgrades
• Communicate and interface with other functional groups within the network including Project Management, Operations, Manufacturing Engineering, Purchasing, Quality and Field Support
• Maintaining schedules to assure on time deliveries.
• Perform reviews of new and old designs and related equipment
• Manage the modifications and upgrades of existing equipment
• Red line engineered drawings where applicable
• Evaluate new products and new product implementation
• Aid operations with installation and commissioning of newly designed gas turbine packages and other equipment
• Evaluate operational readiness of newly designed gas turbine packages and related equipment

Qualifications/Experience:

• Bachelor's degree in engineering (or similar related field)
• 7+ years of experience within engineering or technical project management of mechanical & electrical equipment
• Experience working with package products related to power generation (turbine packages, compressor packages, pumps packages etc.)
• Power generation experience
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficient in cultivating meaningful and productive relationships, emphasizing interpersonal understanding and collaboration.
• Strong comprehension of business principles and strategies enabling informed decision making
• Substantial experience in managing operation in the relevant field ensuring effective coordination and workflow.
• Must excel in matrix and startup-oriented environments and exhibit qualities of self-motivation and innovative, out-of-the-box thinking.
