Position Title: Software Engineering Director

Location: Wilmington, DE; Baltimore, MD; Charlotte, NC; Dallas, TX; New York, NY; Evansville, IN

Duration: 6 months contract with possible conversion to FTE

Work Arrangement: This role is hybrid and requires the candidate to be within approximately a 50-mile radius of one of the above corporate locations

Pay Range: US $95.00 - $110.00 per hour

Who we are looking for / Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, or related field (or equivalent experience) with 7+ years in software engineering, delivering high-quality, maintainable software.
• 3+ years with modern web development: TypeScript, Node.js, Angular (micro-frontends & web components preferred).
• 3+ years with databases: SQL, NoSQL, in-memory (Postgres preferred).
• 3+ years with cloud platforms (AWS preferred).
• 3+ years developing automated regression test suites.
• 1+ years with GraphQL (Apollo or similar).
• 1+ years with distributed systems: Kafka, AWS Kinesis, or equivalent.
• Experience with workflow engines (Camunda 8 preferred)

Performance Objectives / What you'll be doing:

• Develop and maintain complex web apps and enterprise systems using TypeScript, Node.js, and Angular.
• Build modern lending platform services with GraphQL (Apollo), Camunda v8, Kafka, and AWS.
• Continuously improve code quality, scalability, security, and performance.
• Write clean, maintainable, well-documented code with automated tests for each sprint.
• Collaborate with product owners, designers, and team members to deliver features.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies, propose solutions, and turn ideas into software.
• Work with DevOps to deploy and maintain production applications.
• Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies.
• Embrace action, learning by doing, and thrive in fast-paced environments.
