Logistics and Warehousing Supervisor

Position Summary:

The Logistics and Warehousing Supervisor will oversee all aspects of warehouse operations, logistics, and distribution across multiple remote locations. The role requires strong experience in managing remote warehouses, coordinating ocean freight shipments, navigating customs regulations, and overseeing final mile delivery. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of global supply chains, shipping processes, and warehousing operations while ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery of goods to customers. You will be working with various 3PLs, Freight Forwarders, Customs Brokers and warehouse operators to manage the execution and delivery of all our items to our customers in North America.


What you will do (Essential Functions):

Warehouse Management

  • Oversee daily operations of multiple remote warehouse locations, ensuring efficient and safe storage, handling, and distribution of products.
  • Implement and maintain inventory management systems to optimize stock levels, reduce losses, and improve fulfillment accuracy.
  • Develop and enforce standard operating procedures (SOPs) for warehouse functions including receiving, storing, picking, packing, and dispatching goods.
  • Monitor and assess warehouse performance metrics, identifying areas for improvement.

Logistics Coordination

  • Manage and coordinate ocean freight shipments from suppliers to warehouses, ensuring compliance with all international shipping regulations.
  • Work with freight forwarders, carriers, and shipping lines to ensure cost-effective and timely delivery of goods.
  • Oversee customs clearance processes, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and minimizing delays.
  • Collaborate with external vendors and internal teams to manage final mile delivery, ensuring smooth and timely delivery to end customers.

· Manage, monitor and ensure that customs brokers are complying with filings, deliver proper billing and ensure that all products are cleared in a timely manner.

Inventory Control & Reporting

  • Maintain accurate inventory records and ensure proper documentation of all goods entering and leaving the warehouses.
  • Conduct regular audits of warehouse inventories and reconcile discrepancies.
  • Generate regular reports on inventory levels, warehouse performance, and transportation metrics.

Process Improvement & Cost Optimization

  • Identify opportunities for process improvements within warehouse operations and logistics.
  • Implement cost-saving strategies in logistics, transportation, and warehousing to improve overall efficiency.
  • Ensure optimal utilization of warehouse space and transportation resources.

To perform this job an individual must possess certain knowledge and must have learned the following through a combination of education, hands on work experience, mistakes and lessons learned. You will learn and grow in this role but must come with some fundamentals and those fundamentals are the following:


· Bachelor's degree, preferably in a technical discipline such as Finance, Accounting, Engineering or Sciences

  • Working knowledge of Microsoft software applications such as MS Word, MS Excel.
  • Four (4) to seven (7) + years' experience working with varying modes of transportation: FTL, Maritime, Flatbed and Drayage.
  • Must have direct experience booking & scheduling freight.
  • Solid understanding of Logistics and freight
  • Experience and working knowledge of import and export procedures.
  • Ability to communicate ideas and information in a clear, effective, professional manner.
  • Must be fluent in English.
