Gift Processor and Stewardship Specialist

Description:

At Dress for Success Houston, we play a pivotal role in empowering women in the Greater Houston area. As Gift Processor and Stewardship Specialist, you will ensure the accurate processing of all donations and donor recognition correspondence, maintain data integrity and provide insightful analysis to support fundraising, donor relations, and strategic decision making. You will be crucial in maintaining an efficient, transparent, and effective system for donor management, tracking, and reporting while supporting the Development Team Members for event execution.

· Process donations received within 72 hours, ensuring accuracy and timely acknowledgment.

· Ensure all donors receive a personalized, timely, and accurate acknowledgment.

· Provide timely, data-driven insights to inform fundraising strategies.

· Maintain data integrity and accuracy in donor and gift records.

· Contribute to the planning and execution of fundraising campaigns and stewardship vents by providing and maintaining accurate reports, assisting with event logistics, and administrative support.

· Work with people across different sectors, including corporate and social service agencies.


What Do You Bring?

Your background includes:

· 1-3 years of experience in data analysis, gift processing, or donor database management, preferably in the non-profit sector.

· Proficient CRM software (e.g. Salesforce, Raisers Edge, DonorPerfect, or similar database platforms).

· Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

· Excellent organizational skills, with ability to multi-task comfortably.

· Proficient with Microsoft 365, Adobe, Adobe Acrobat Document, and Zoom.

· Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, data analysis functions).

· Strong customer service skills with the expectation of high-quality customer interactions, problem solving abilities, and a customer -first mindset.

· The ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team environment.

· The ability to work with and relate to a range of people from diverse backgrounds and experiences.

· Flexibility to work at least one weeknight evening and one Saturday per month.

· The ability to lift at least 40 pounds.

Preferred

· Bachelor's degree in Data Analytics, Statistics, Nonprofit Management, Business Administration or related field.

· Experience with data visualization tools (e.g. Tableau, Power BI) and reporting platforms is a plus.

· Familiarity with accounting or fundraising software is a plus (e.g. QuickBooks, Financial Edge).

· Analytical thinking.

· Adaptable and flexible.
