Description:

Position Overview:

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Construction Project Scheduler to oversee and manage the scheduling of construction projects from inception to completion. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing, monitoring, and updating project schedules to ensure timely delivery while maintaining efficiency and adherence to budgetary constraints.


Key Responsibilities:


Schedule Development:

  • Create comprehensive project schedules using tools such as Primavera P6, MS Project, or equivalent software.
  • Define project timelines, milestones, and deliverables in collaboration with project managers, engineers, and stakeholders.

Schedule Monitoring and Updates:

  • Regularly monitor project progress and update schedules to reflect changes, delays, or advancements.
  • Identify critical path activities and potential scheduling conflicts, proposing solutions to keep projects on track.

Coordination and Communication:

  • Coordinate with project teams, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure alignment with the schedule.
  • Communicate scheduling updates and changes to stakeholders effectively.

Risk Analysis and Mitigation:

  • Conduct schedule risk analyses to identify potential delays and recommend mitigation strategies.
  • Adjust schedules proactively to address unforeseen challenges.

Reporting and Documentation:

  • Generate regular progress reports, including Gantt charts, resource allocation, and variance analysis.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all scheduling activities.

Resource Management:

  • Assist in resource planning to ensure adequate manpower, equipment, and materials are allocated to meet project demands.


Qualifications and Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or a related field
  • Proven experience as a Project Scheduler in the construction industry
  • Proficiency in scheduling software such as Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, or similar
  • Strong understanding of construction processes, sequencing, and resource management
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams and communicate effectively
  • Attention to detail and ability to meet tight deadlines


Work Environment:

This position is full-time office setting with occasional visits to construction sites.
