Description:

Clayton Services is searching for a Sales Manager to join a thriving company in the Woodlands, Texas. The Sales Manager will be responsible for leading a team of sales executives in the telecommunications industry.


Job Type: Direct-Hire

Pay Rate: $75,000/base with OTE up to $150,000/annually.


Sales Manager Responsibilities:

  • Recruit, train, mentor, and develop a high-performing team of sales executives in the Houston market.
  • Partner with the marketing team to create effective sales materials and collaborate with event leadership to support consumer-facing marketing efforts.
  • Actively engage in field-based sales activities, including ride-alongs, client visits, and events, to provide on-the-ground guidance and support for the sales team.
  • Drive sales expansion by leading, motivating, and coaching sales teams to consistently meet and exceed sales targets.
  • Establish individual and team sales goals, monitor weekly and monthly performance, and provide regular reviews with both the sales team and leadership.
  • Conduct ongoing training sessions to enhance the sales team's product knowledge and sales techniques.
  • Provide regular activity and sales performance updates to the Senior Director of Sales, including sourcing and producing recurring commission reports for approval.
  • Regularly assess the performance of the sales team using Salesforce CRM data to track progress and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Handle complex and high-value sales opportunities directly, working in collaboration with leadership when necessary.
  • Foster a positive, collaborative, and results-driven team culture that encourages high performance and continuous improvement.


Sales Manager Skills and Abilities:

  • Excellent project management abilities, with a proven capacity to independently oversee resources, budgets, and personnel while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Confident and dynamic communicator, skilled at engaging and collaborating with team members and peers at all levels.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and work effectively across all organizational levels.
  • Thrives in a cross-functional and team-oriented environment.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook), Salesforce CRM, and HubSpot.


Sales Manager Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration or related field.
  • Five (5) or more years of experience in leadership driving business-to-consumer (B2C) and business-to-business (B2B) teams.
  • Telecom sales and leadership experience is highly desired.
  • Proven track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets.
  • Experience in customer growth, revenue, and cash flow KPIs focusing on planning and execution.
  • Experienced leadership skills and ability to set high-performance standards while leading team members' progression toward goals.
