PRESS BRAKE OPERATOR - 2nd Shift
The press brake operator ensures that the machine is set up properly, functioning well, and producing quality products. He or she runs the machine and adjusts it to control the speed, material feed, and path of the cut. The ideal candidate embraces change, is a problem solver, an innovative thinker, and is experienced in prioritizing production runs to ensure that parts are available to meet production demands. Work hours are Monday – Friday 3:30 PM to 12:00 AM.

Job Responsibilities:
Produce parts for assembly operations.
Safely perform loading and unloading of sheet metal. Change tools and select required machine programs.
Set presses and fixtures
Load coils of sheet metal onto the presses
Load stamping dies onto the presses
Inspect products for quality assurance
Use precision measuring tools, such as micrometers and calipers, to ensure products are made to specification
Work safely utilizing proper protective equipment and following all safety procedures. Maintain a clean and safe working environment.
Follow all inventory control procedures.
Learn other appropriate job functions and serve as backup when necessary.
Assist with machine preventive maintenance using proper lock-out/tag-out procedures.
Maintain a clean and safe workspace
Meet or exceed productivity per company standards.
Other duties as assigned by supervisor.
2-5 years experience on a press brake or similar machine in a manufacturing environment. Experience with Amada is a plus.
Experience in a lean manufacturing or continuous improvement manufacturing environment.
Ability to accurately use and read a tape measure.
Ability to read drawings and blueprints.
Attention to detail.
Must pass a background check as well as pre-employment physical and drug screen.
