Overview:As a Warehouse Associate/Shop Helper with a coating company in Houston, you will play a crucial role in supporting our production team by assisting with various tasks in the warehouse and shop floor. From inventory management to equipment maintenance, you'll contribute to the smooth operation of our facility while ensuring the highest standards of quality and safety are maintained.Responsibilities:Receive, inspect, and organize incoming raw materials and finished products. Assist with the loading and unloading of trucks, ensuring proper handling and storage of materials.Maintain accurate inventory records through regular stock checks, data entry, and inventory reconciliation. Assist in tracking material usage and reorder levels to ensure adequate supplies are available for production.Support the production team by preparing materials, equipment, and tools needed for coating operations. Assist with the setup and cleanup of workstations, including masking, sanding, and cleaning equipment.Perform general warehouse duties such as packaging, labeling, and organizing products for shipment. Keep the warehouse and shop area clean and organized, including sweeping floors, removing debris, and disposing of waste materials properly.Qualifications:High school diploma or equivalent.Previous experience in a warehouse or manufacturing environment preferred.Basic knowledge of inventory management principles and practices.Ability to operate hand tools and basic machinery safely and effectively.Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately.Excellent organizational and time-management skills.Ability to lift and carry heavy objects, up to 50 pounds or more.Commitment to workplace safety and willingness to adhere to safety protocols.Flexibility to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.Positive attitude, team player mentality, and willingness to learn and grow in the role.
