Positions Summary:

Responsible for creating estimates, forecasts, negotiating cost and effective contracts with key suppliers. Appraise and improve sourcing activities by analyzing the company's spending supplying partnerships and new possibilities. Analyze data and insights to determine industry and company trends. Expertise in Power Generation, Electronics, and Mechanical parts is highly beneficial for success in this position.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Perform market research to assess market drivers, develop cost estimates, and forecast procurement needs.
  • Maintain and build strategic sourcing relationships, particularly in Power Generation, Electronics, and Mechanical parts.
  • Develop and execute category sourcing strategies, leveraging negotiation expertise to secure competitive advantages for the company.
  • Analyze data and industry trends to identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to align supply agreements with demand and operational requirements.
  • Research and anticipate shifts in supplier market dynamics to create sustainable contracts.
  • Ensure all selected Suppliers have valid contractual relationships (Master Service Agreements or agreed Transactional PO terms) and they are registered in Livewire ERP system (NAV).
  • Create Purchase Orders according to the requisitions generated by the business operations owners.
  • Optimize the supply chain by balancing inventory carry costs and minimizing balance sheet risk.
  • Perform cost analysis and benchmarking, establishing savings goals for assigned categories.
  • Manage the company's supply portfolio, ensuring transparency and alignment with organizational objectives.
  • Drive key internal KPIs, utilizing Business Intelligence tools to support decision-making.
  • Conduct quarterly business reviews (QBRs) to ensure supplier compliance and performance


Education and Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, Logistics, or Business Administration preferred; or 5+ years of demonstrated success in supply chain roles.
  • Proven experience as a Sourcing Manager or Procurement Manager, with familiarity in Power Generation, Electronics, and Mechanical parts sourcing.


Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  • Advanced knowledge of sourcing, negotiating, and vendor management practices.
  • Strong understanding of supply chain total cost of ownership (TCO) and cost-to-serve analysis.
  • Experience with large data set analysis, drawing insights, and applying conclusions to strategy.
  • Excellent negotiation, leadership, and project management skills.
  • Exceptional analytical and strategic thinking abilities, with sound business judgment.
  • Ability to collaborate cross-functionally and build strong supplier partnerships.
  • Proficiency in establishing and tracking KPIs to measure supplier performance and drive improvements.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
  • Willingness to travel to develop and maintain strategic sourcing relationships.
  • Able to read, speak and write English.
  • Interpret and make decisions in conformance with established policies and practices.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office tools including Excel, world, PowerPoint and Outlook and have prior experience.
  • Able to work under stressful conditions at times.
  • Communication - phone communication, communication with personnel and vendors.
  • Climbing - able to go up and down stairs.
  • Position will require a minimum of 40 hours per week dependent on workload.
