Job Title: Remote Bookkeeper

Reports to: Senior Director of Finance

Location: Remote, Designated/Dedicated Office Workspace Required

*Reliable High-Speed Internet Required. You must be willing to drive to Waco, TX, once a month to attend a department meeting. Additionally, you will be required to come to Waco for a paid 2-3 week in-house training.

Job Type: Full-time; 8 a.m. - 5 p.m. CST, with availability for Cornerstone Corporate calls.

  • Commensurate for experience, starts at $20/hour

Job Description: As a bookkeeper, you will join an established team to manage your own set of location financials. Daily, you will record all financial transactions, including cash payments, into the correct general ledger and verify that they are accurate. You will also be responsible for maintaining all financial records, processing payroll, billing/invoicing to clients, and managing an open line of communication with the Operating Director for the locations in which you are assigned to. Our ideal candidate has at least two years of experience as a professional bookkeeper in both payroll and billing.

Job Responsibilities and Reporting Structure:
  • Process company payroll and weekly invoices as a primary role in this position
  • Review financial transactions for accuracy and input transactions into the correct ledger
  • Reconcile bank and other accounts
  • Pay vendors as they come due
  • Work through aged accounts receivables
  • Wage garnishments, adjustments, etc.
  • Handling journal entries and reviewing payroll notes
Required Skills:
  • High school diploma or equivalent, degree in relevant field preferred
  • 2+ years of bookkeeping experience
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office or Google Suite
  • Payroll experience
  • Processing weekly invoices, billing cycles, month end reconciliation, bank reconciliations, and billing/invoicing to clients
  • High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Ability to clear required background check
